Overview
Level 4 Diploma in Health And Social Care Management equips individuals with underpinning knowledge, understanding and skills for success in employment in the health & social care sector at the management levels. This qualification will help learners demonstrate their skills by producing evidence from their work activities to meet national occupational health and social care standards. Therefore, learners will acquire care management skills in the health and social care sector.
Learners will acquire knowledge of applications and in-depth analysis of health and social care and management of health care issues. Learners may gain employment within the health and social sectors as managers with management responsibility or interest. Careers may also develop in general hospital administration, quality assurance management, health care coordination, or case management.

Learners need to complete four units to achieve the full Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management. Total credits are 120.

Upon completion of this unit, learners will be able to

- Identify problems that reduce positive and effective communication in the health and social care sector.
- Understand communication strategy with the patient in crisis.
Unit 3: Quality Management in Health Care
Upon completion of this unit, learners will be able to
- Identify the importance of values, ethics and general practice in care organisation.
- Identify quality improvements in health and social care organisation through performance management.
- Appreciate the importance of service delivery models which meets the needs of individuals.
- Know management processes and practice of healthcare projects.
Unit 4: Supervisory Role in Health and Social Care Practice
Upon completion of this unit, learners will be able to
- Identify effective supervision through communication and behaviour in the health and social care organisation.
- Understand the code of practice, workforce regulations and models as key principles of supervision
- Investigate supervisory decision-making process in the care organisation.
