Level 6 Graduate Diploma in health and social care management equip individuals with underpinning knowledge, understanding and skills for success in employment in the health & social care sector at management levels. Graduate Diploma allows learners to demonstrate their skills by producing evidence from their work activities to meet national occupational standards. Learners will acquire care management skills in the health and social care sector.
Description
This programme’s primary aim is to explore the key concepts of professional and ethical practice, care delivery, care management, and personal and professional development. Learners of this programme will be able to develop an academic and professional practice to help services within health and social care.
Learners will acquire knowledge of applications and in-depth analysis in health and social care and management of health care issues. Graduates may gain employment within the health and social sectors as managers with management responsibility or interest. Careers may also develop in general hospital administration, quality assurance management, health care coordination, or case management. EBMA’s Graduate Diploma in Health and Social Care Management offers and provides career-related guidance and support to students. This course also provides progression to the EBMA Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Health and Social Care Management.
This qualification is suitable for individuals working or likely to work in hospitals, health and social care organisations as administrators, supervisors, managers, or leaders.
Course Structure of 120 credits Level 6 Graduate Diploma in Health and Social Care Management
Learners will complete five units to achieve the full Level 6 Graduate Diploma in Health and Social Care Management.
Unit 01 – Management Control in Health and Social Care
Unit 02 – Principles of Social Work Practice
Unit 03 – Counselling Skills and Theory in Health and Social Care
Unit 04 – Ethics and Values in Social Work Practice
Unit 05 – Research Project including Research Methods
At the end of the qualification, learners will achieve the EBMA Level 6 Graduate Diploma in Health and Social Care Management (120 credits).
