Campus (Full Time) – Campus full-time students are required to spend at least 21 hours per week. This will help the learner to achieve the required credits within the qualification to meet the Total Qualification Time (TQT).
TQT is an estimate of the total number of hours it would take an average learner to achieve and demonstrate the necessary level of attainment to be awarded a qualification. TQT includes Guided learning (sometimes referred to as guided learning hours or GLH) refers to the amount of time it would take a typical learner to complete all the aspects of learning, study, or assessment of a qualification while being taught, instructed by, or otherwise being under the immediate guidance or supervision of a tutor/assessor. This includes the activity of being assessed if the assessment takes place under immediate guidance, supervision, or invigilation. TQT also includes the number of hours it would take an average learner to complete any other required learning, self-study, preparation, and assessment of a qualification without being under the immediate supervision, guidance, or invigilation of a tutor/assessor. For example, undertaking e-learning without the supervision of a tutor, completing homework or doing independent research.
Campus students must maintain at least 90% of their attendance to remain full-time, if attendance drops less than 90%, they will be given the option to switch to other categories to remain online, part-time, or weekend students.
Campus (Part-Time) – Campus part-time students are required to attend compulsory classes on campus as per their timetable. The learners are required to spend at least 16-18 hours on their study (TQT) each week to achieve 120 credits in 24 months.
Campus (Weekend) – Campus weekend-only students are required to attend 4-6 hours (Guided Hours) each week. It is advised to maintain good attendance that includes one-to-one study sessions and coursework.
Campus (Occasional) – Campus Occasional students are required to attend at least 4 hours per week (120 credits full course requires 3-5 years to complete). It is advised to maintain attendance.
Online (Full Time) – Online full-time students are required to spend an average of 21 hours per week. This will help the learner to achieve the required credits within the qualification to meet the Total Qualification Time (TQT). If you are completing a fast-track 120 credit qualification then we recommend you spend at least 6 hours each day.
Project Plan Requirements
The learners (online and on-campus) will be required to submit their project plan. The project plan confirms your hours spend to study and writing the coursework or assignments. This will help the quality assurance team to confirm your total qualification time in the course. This plan is applicable to all credits bearing qualifications.
