Overview
The aim of the Level 7 Diploma in Psychology is to provide learners with an understanding of the main cognitive functions such as perception, executive functions, language, attention and their role in psychology. Learners will develop practical skills for a career in psychology.
Successful completion of the Level 7 Diploma in Psychology provides learners with the opportunity to progress to further study or employment.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the course, a learner is expected to
- Understand psychoanalytic therapy and its procedure and examine counselling interventions
- Understand critical psychology and psychology of liberation
- Understand brain-behaviour relationship in day-today life and the neuropsychological relation to different psychological disorders
- Understand qualitative paradigm of psychology and different qualitative research methods
- Undertake how a society influences the development of humans and to assess key developmental changes
- Understand rehabilitation psychology, the psychological assessment of persons with disabilities and psychological interventions.

Qualification Structure of Level 7 Diploma in Psychology
The course’s overall structure is based on the following units covering several topics relating to learning outcomes. Students are required to complete six units to achieve 120 credits. Each unit has 20 credits.
